ADOPTION GUIDELINES

All of our rescued animals receive rehabilitation and, once they are healthy, are available for adoption for a fee of $95 for both cats and dogs. This fee includes:

• Comprehensive medical exam by a licensed veterinarian

• Up-to-date vaccinations (puppies may need additional booster shots, which we will cover if coordinated through us and FCAR's veterinarian)

• Spaying or neutering

• Microchipping

• 30-day pet health guarantee (*Local adoptions only; must follow the process provided at adoption)

• 30-day money-back guarantee

We aim to find loving homes for all our rescued animals. To ensure their well-being, some animals may have specific adoption requirements:

​

• Fenced yard (required for all dogs; we need a video of your fully fenced backyard. An in-person fence check may be required locally. We do not accept invisible fences, tie-outs, or small pens.)

• Home inspection may be conducted for dogs and cats (local only)

• Veterinary reference from previous pet owners (must show current vaccinations and heartworm prevention)

• If no previous veterinary history, purchase of a 3-month supply of heartworm and flea/tick prevention

• If renting, verification from your landlord regarding pet acceptance, any restrictions, and pet deposit

• Meet-and-greet with current pets to ensure compatibility

Please note: We will contact your current or previous veterinarian to confirm a history of vaccinations and heartworm prevention. We may conduct a physical fence inspection (if applicable) and a home inspection for all adoptions.
